of Somerset in and for the said County of Somerset the third tuesday of
November Anno Dom seventeen hundred and thirty one before the
Worshipfull Samuel Hopkins Gent and his associates Justices of the same
Court Recovered against the af.d Moses Driskill twelve hundred and
fifty pounds of tobacco as of the goods and Chattles of a Certain Dennis
Driskill Late of Somerset County planter whereof the same Moses is
Convict as by the Records and proceedings thereof in the County Court af.d of
the Right Honourable the Lord proprietary here to witt at deviding Creek
af.d in Somerset County af.d before the Justices more plainly it manifestly
appeareth which said Judgment is in full force strength and effect and
altogether unreversed or satisfied and the af.d John hath not as yet followed
any Execution of the said Judgment by which action accrued
to the said John to have and require of the af.d Moses the af.d twelve
hundred and fifty pounds of tobacco yett the said Moses tho' often
required the same to the said John hath not Rendred but the same to
him hitherto to render hath denyed and still doth deny and unjustly
detaine to the damage of the same John of two thousand five hundred
pounds of tobacco and thereof he brings suit &a   Pledges &a J Doe & R Roe

And the afd Moses Driskill by George Douglas his attorney Cometh and defendeth the
force and Injury when &.a and Saith that he Cannot deny the action afd of the aforesaid ^Jn.o^ nor
but that he oweth the same John the afd Twelve hundred and fifty pounds of tobacco in
manner and form as the afd John above against him hath declared

Therefore it is Considered that the afd John Purnall Recover against the aforesaid Moses
Driskill his debt afd and his damages by occasion of the detention of that same debt to

assent by the Court here adjudged  Whereupon the afd John Purnall by his attorney afd releaseth
unto the afd Moses out of the Debt afd Six hundred & Eighty pounds of tobacco and the deft
