June Court                                   1738                302

Came as well the af.d James Anderson by Robert Jenckins Henry his attorney as
the af.d John Goldsmith in his proper person and the said John Goldsmith being by
the sherriffe Ledd to the barr by vertue of the writt af.d to him thereof directed and
being by the Court here asked if he was the very same John the same person
which the af.d James as well in the debt af.d as in the damages af.d before Convicted
or not saith that he is   Therefore the same John Goldsmith is Committed
to the prison of the af.d sherriffe thereto Remain untill the af.d James of
the debt and damages af.d should be fully satisfied and Contented &.a

Richard Knight
 Command was given to the sherriffe of Somerset County that
he should take Richard Knight Late of Somerset County planter
otherwise Called Richard Knight of Somerset County in the
said Province of Maryland planter if he should be found in his bailywick
and him should safe keep so that he might have his body before the Justices of his
Lordships County Court of Somerset to be held at deviding Creek in the same
County the third tuesday of June Anno Dom one thousand seven hundred and
thirty eight to satisfie James Anderson as well a Certain Debt of twenty pounds
Curr.t money of Maryland which the same James Anderson in the same Court
before his Lordships Justices at deviding Creek af.d Recovered against him as of
seven hundred and forty one pounds of tobacco which to the same James Anderson
in our same Court were adjudged for his damages which he had by occasion
of the detention of that same debt whereof he is Convict &a  and the same day
is given to the af.d James there &a  Att which day here Came as well the af.d
James Anderson by Robert Jenckins Henry his attorney as the af.d Richard
Knight in his proper person and the said Richard Knight being by the sherriffe
Ledd to the barr by vertue of the writt af.d to him thereof directed and being by
the Court here asked if he was the very same Richard the same person which
the af.d James as well in the debt af.d as in the damages af.d before Convicted
