third Tuesday of June Anno Dom One thousand seven hundred and thirty Eight to Satisfie James Hayes of three thousand five hundred and one pounds of tobacco which sum the said Francis Porter Joseph Macclester and Littleton Townsend before Robert King and John Scott Gent two of his Lordships Justices of the County afd the peace to keep assigned did on the twentyeth day of July Ann Dom One thousand seven hundred and thirty seven Confess Judgment to the said James Hayes with twenty two pounds of tobacco additionall Costs according to act of assembly in such Case made and provided whereof he is Convict &.a and the same day is given to the afd James Hayes there &a Att which day here Came as well the afd James Hayes in his proper person as the afd Francis Porter in his proper person and the said Francis Porter being by the Sheriffe Ledd to the Barr by vertue of the writt afd to him thereof directed and being by the Court here asked if he was the very same Francis Porter the same person which the afd James Hayes of the tobacco afd was Convicted or not saith that he is Therefore the same Francis Porter is Committed to the prison of the sheriffe of the County afd there to remaine in safe Custody untill the same James Hayes of the tobacco afd should be fully satisfied & paid &a
