deviding Creek in the same County the third tuesday of June Anno Dom one thousand seven hundred and thirty eight to satisfie Richard Davies of eighteen shillings Currt money of Maryland and nineteen hundred and thirty six pounds of tobacco which sum the said Littleton Townsend Joseph Macclester and Francis Porter before Robert King and John Scott Gentlemen two of his Lordships Justices of the ^County af.d the^ peace to keep assigned did on the twenty ninth day of July Anno Dom one thousand seven hundred and thirty seven Confess Judgment to the said Richard Davies with twenty two pounds ^of^ tobacco additionall Costs according to act of assembly in such case made and provided whereof he is Convict &.a and the same day is given to the af.d Richard there &.a Att which day here Came as well af.d Richard Davies in his proper person as the af.d Littleton Townsend being by the sherriffe Ledd to the barr by vertue of the writt af.d to him thereof directed and being by the Court here asked if he was the very same Littleton Townsend the same person which the af.d Richard Davies of the tobacco and money af.d was Convicted or not who says that he is Therefore the same Littleton Townsend is Committed to the prison of the sherriffe of the County af.d thereto Remaine in safe Custody untill the same Richard of the tobacco and money af.d should be fully satisfyed and paid &.a |
