in the same County the third tuesday of June Anno Dom one thousand
seven hundred and thirty eight to satisfie Joshua Caldwell of twenty
three pounds ten shillings Currt money of Maryland and twelve hundred
and eighty eight pounds of tobacco for which sum the said Joseph
Macclester together with Benj.a Townsend and Daniel Cordery before
Levin Gale Esq.r one of the Justices of the Provinciall Court of Maryland
on the twenty first day of June Anno Dom one thousand seven hundred
and thirty seven Confessed Judgment to the af.d Joshua Caldwell with
twenty two pounds of tobacco additional Costs according to act of assembly
in such case provided whereof he is Convict &.a  and the same day is
given to the af.d Joshua there &.a   Att which day here Came the said
Joshua Caldwell in his proper person and the sherriffe of Somerset County
to witt John Henry Gent at the same day here returned that he had taken
the af.d Joseph Macclester whose body hereat this day he had ready to satisfie
the af.d Joshua Caldwell of the Money and Tobacco af.d as af.d he was Commanded

    Command was given to the Sheriffe of SOmerset County that he
should take Joseph Macclester if he Should be found in his Bailywick &
him should safe keep so that he might have his body before the Justices
of his Lordships County Court of Somerset to be held at dividing Creek in the same
County the third Tuesday of June Anno Dom one thousand seven hundred and
thirty eight to satisfie Joshua Caldwell of twenty three pounds twelve shillings
and four pence Currt money of Maryland and eleven hundred and eighty two
pounds of tobacco for which sum the said Joseph Macclester together with
Benj.a Townsend and Daniel Cordery before Levin Gale Esq.r ^one^ of the
Justices of the Provinciall Court of Maryland on the twenty first day
of June Anno Dom one thousand seven hundred and thirty seven Confessed
