unto Isaiah Bredell of a plea of trespass upon the Case &c

And Whereupon the said Isaiah by Francis Allen his attorney Complains that whereas the said William
the first day of August Anno Dom seventeen hundred and thirty four at the County of Somerset af.d within
the Jurisdiction of this Court was Indebted unto the said Isaiah in five pounds one shilling and seven
pence Curr.t money of Maryland for sundrys properly chargeable in Account as by Account thereof
hereunto annexed may in Court appear and being so thereof Indebted the said William in Consideration
thereof the day and year af.d at the place af.d upon himself did assume and to the
said Isaiah then and there did faithfully promise that he the said William the said Five pounds
one shilling and seven pence to the said Isaiah when he should be afterwards thereunto requested
he would well and faithfully pay and Content and altho the said William twenty shillings
pcell of the said Five pounds one shilling and seven pence to the said Isaiah he hath paid and
satisfied yett as to four pounds one shilling and seven pence Residue of the af.d Five pounds
one shilling and seven pence the said William his promise and assumption af.d in form af.d made
nothing Regarding but plotting and fraudulently intending the said Isaiah in that part
craftilly and Subtilly to deceive and defraud the said four pounds one shilling and seven pence to
the said Isaiah altho the same to do the said William by the said Isaiah on the af.d first day
of August in the year af.d and often afterwards at the County of Somerset he was thereunto
requested hath not paid or Contented but the same to him hitherto to pay hath refused and still
doth refuse and deny to the damage of the said Isaiah of eight pounds money af.d and thereupon he

Bredell by his attorney ^af.d^ and the sheriff of the same County here Returned that he had taken
the af.d William Gray whose body here at this day he hath here ready to answer the af.d
Isaiah Bredell of the af.d plea as to him it was Commanded

Whereupon a Certain George Dashiell of Somerset County Gen.t Came hereinto Court in
his proper person and undertook for the same William Gray and assumed upon himself (Likwise
