afd in writing and that the same be returned from under their hands to the Justices of the next
Court to be held in and for the County afd at dividing Creek the third Tuesday of March then
next following that the Justices afd may further proceed thereon to Judgment and the same
day is given to the afd Plft and deft here &a
                                                                            Att which day here Came againe as well
the afd John Bishop as he the afd Donnock Dennis by their attorneys afd but the afd James
Martin and Edward Rownd sends not thereof their award in the premisses afd &a   Whereupon
the afd Donnock Dennis relinquisheth his verification afd by him above pretended and
saith that he Cannot deny the action afd of the afd John Bishop nor Can he Say but that the writing
Obligatory afd is the deed of ^him^ the Same Dennis nor but that he Owes the Same John the afd one
hundred pounds Curr.t Money of Maryland in manner and form as the fd John above
against him hath declared
                                                 Therefore it is Considered that the afd John Bishop Recover
against the afd Donnock Dennis his debt afd and his damages afd by occasion of the detention

522   to the Same John of his assent by the Court here adjudged with Stay of Execution untill the first
day of august then next following And the afd deft in Mercy &a

++++   Memorand.m the Bail peice should have Been Entered Immediately after the return of the writt before
the Imparlence but was omitted & entered here as followeth  Whereupon Came hereinto Court
in his proper person a Certain Daniel Dennis of Somerset County planter and undertook
for the said Donnock Dennis and assumed upon himselfe (Likewise the said Donnock Dennis
present herein Court in his proper person assumed upon himselfe) that if It Should Happen
that Judgm.t in the plea afd should be rendered for same John against him the same
Donnock or that the same Donnock Should be therein Convict that then he the said Donnock
should pay and satisfie unto the same John the Judgm.t of the Court thereupon or render his
body in Execution of Such Judgm.t to the prison of the Sheriffe of the County afd thereto remain
untill the same Judgm.t Should be fully satisfied or that he the said Daniel Dennis will do the same
for him &a
