280 his request by the Court now here of the assent of the parties af.d adjudged and the af.d Woney in Mercy &.a
same County the third Tuesday of June Anno Dom one thousand seven hundred and thirty seven to answer unto Catherine Stewart adm.rx of ^all^ and Singular the goods Chattles and Creditts which were of the Reverand W.m Steward dec.d at the time of his death who dyed intestate as it is sayed of a plea of trespass upon the Case &a And the same day is given to the said Catherine Stewart there &.a Att which day here before His Lordships Justices at a Court then held at deviding Creek Came the af.d Catherine Stewart by Charles Goldsborough her attorney af.d and the sherriffe of Somerset County to witt John Henry Gent now here returned that he had taken the af.d Richard Knite whose body hereat this day he had ready to answer the af.d Catherine Stewart of the af.d plea as to him it was Commanded And hereupon the said Richard Knite puts in his place and stead George Douglas attorney at Law against the afd Catherine in the afd Plea Whereupon at the request of the parties ^afd^ day is given to them here before his Lordships Justices at dividing Creek untill the third Tuesday of August then next following in the same state as at present saving to the parties &a Att which day here before his Lordships Justices at dividing Creek Came againe as well the afd Catherine as the afd Richard by their attorneys afd And hereupon the said Catherine declared against the afd Richard in the plea afd in form following Somerset County ss.t Richard Knite Late of Somerset County planter was |
