269 Court herein the premises and that due process of law in this part against the said Ann may be made to answer the same Lord proprietary of and upon the premises Thereupon Command was given to the Sheriffe of Somerset County that he Should take the afd Ann Russell Conner if &a to answer &a and afterwards to witt the twenty third day of June Ann Dom One thousand Seven hundred and thirty Eight at a Court then held at dividing Creek before before his Lordships Justices Came the afd Ann Russell Conner in her proper person according to a Certain Recognizance by her and her Security ^in that part^ before acknowledged and had a hearing of the Information afd and saith that she Cannot Gainsay ^but that^ she is guilty of the premisses in the Information afd and makes Oath that a Certain Lawrence Arnold is the Begetter of the Child she stands Informed against and is willing to pay her fine for the fact afd Whereupon all and Singular the premisses by the Court here seen heard and fully understood It is Considered by the Court here that the afd Ann Russell Conner pay unto his Lordship the Lord proprietary for her fine by the Court here upon her Imposed for and by Occasion of the premisses thirty Shillings Curr.t Money of Maryland (to the Use of the County afd) And that the afd Ann Russell Conner be taken to Satisfie his Lordship of the fine afd Whereupon the said Ann Russell Conner is ordered to give Security for the payment of the Severall Offices Fees due upon the Information and premisses afd Thereupon a Certain Humphry Chapman of Somerset County planter present herein Court undertook for the payment of the Severall Officers Fees due by means of the premisses afd of and from the afd Ann Russell Conner &a
in the full and just sum of forty eight pounds sixteen shillings and three pence Currt money to be paid unto the said George Nicholson Margarett Nicholson and William Nicholson their heirs Ex.rs adm.rs or assignes to the which payment well and truely to be made and done we bind our selves our and either |
