264 his heirs & Successors to be made & Levied If it happen that the said Henry Reynolds do not pay unto his ^said^ Lordship or his agent or factor fifty Shillings Curr.t Money for ever Year he shall keep such ordinary or house of Entertainment as afd &a Likewise the said Henry Reynolds with the aforesaid James Anderson and Richard King his Securitys afd all present herein Court in their proper persons as afd acknowledged themselves Indebted unto his Lordship the Lord Proprietary in forty pounds Curr.t Money of Maryland afd of their goods and Chattells Lands and tenements Joyntly and Severally to the Use of his said Lordship his heirs and Successors to be made and Levied If it happen that the said Henry Reynolds do not keep good rules and orders and do Suffer Idle Loose or disorderly persons to tipple Gale or Committ disorders or Other Irregularityes in his house ordinary or house of Entertainment during the time that he Shall keep the Same Contrary to the true Intent and Meaning of the act of assembly in Such Case made and provided &a Jack a negro Boy of William Jones of Manny being brought hereinto Court was adjudged by the Same Court to the age of thirteen years Tobia a negro Boy of John Tull of Dividing Creek being present herein Court is adjudged by the Same Court to the age of Tenn Years &a
in the Same County to keep assigned by the Oath of Twelve Jurors being presented that Hannah Goldsmith late of Somerset parish in the County aforesaid Spinster the first day of May Ann Dom one thousand seven hundred and thirty seven at the parish aforesaid in the County af.d and within the Jurisdiction of this Court did Committ fornication with a Certain person to the Jurors af.d unknown and did permitt the same unknown person then and there to have Carnall Knowledge of her body and to Begett then and there a Bastard Child on the body of her the same Hannah Goldsmith to the high Displeasure of Almighty God to the Evill Example of all others in such Case offending Contrary to the peace of the said Lord Proprietary his good rule |
