259 be Delivered by Due form of Law from thence also we have assigned you ^and^ Every three or more of you of whom we will you the said Richard Tilghman Mathew Tilghman Ward John Rows by Benjamin Tasker Philip Lee John Rider George Plater Edmund Jenings James Holiday Charles Hamond and Levin Gale Esqr Robert King John Smith Baltemore Hundred William Stoughton Edward Chambers John Handy John Scott James Martin Thomas Williams and Henry Ballard or one of you always to be ^one^ our Justices to Enquire by ^the^ oaths of Good and Lawfull men of our County af.d by whom the truth of the premises may be the better known of all and all maner of Felonies Witchcrafts Enchantments Sorceries Arts Magick Trespasses Engrosings Regrateings Forestallings and Extortions whatsoever and of all other Misfeazenses and offences Watsoever of which Justices of our peace Lawfully may or ought to enquire by whomsoever or howsoever in our County af.d Done or Committed or which may hereafter happen to be done or Committed and also of all those who In our County af.d in Riotous Manner have gone or Rode or shall here after presume to go or Ride with Armed force against against our peace to the Disturbance of the Kings subiects and of all such Who in our County af.d have Lain or shall hereafter presume to go or Ride with Armed force against our peace to the Disturbance of the Kings Subjects and of all such who in our County af.d have lain or shall hereafter presume to Lye in Writ to Maim or kill any of the Kings subjects And also of all Ordinary Keepers and other persons who have offended or hereafter shall presume to offend in the abuse of the Weights or Measures Against the Acts of Assembly for the Common good ^and^ proffit now in this province Made and Used and also of the Sheriffs Bailiffs Constables and other officers who have or shall hereafter Misbehave themselves in the Execution of their offices or have been Remiss or Negligent in the Execution thereof or shall hereafter happen so to be within our County af.d and of all and Every the Articles Matters and things whatsoever howsoever or by whomsoever in our County af.d Done or Committed or that shall hereafter Happen to be done or Committed Concerning the premises or any of the and to Inspect all indictments before you or any of you taken or to be taken or before our Late Justices of the peace within our said County had and Taken and not yet Determined And process thereon against all or any person or persons so Indicted or which shall hereafter happen to be Indicted within our County af.d to make and Continue untill they shall be Taken or Surrender themselves or be out Lawed and to hear and Determine all and Every the Felonies Witchcrafts Inchantments Sorceries Arts Magick Trespasses Forestallings Regrateings Riotts Indictments and all other the matters af.d According to the Laws Customs and Directions of the Acts of Assembly af.d so far forth as they provide and where they are silent According to the Laws Statutes and reasonable Customs of England as used and practised within this province And the said delinquents and Every of them to Chastise and punish by fines Ransoms Amersments forfeitures and otherwise According to the Laws Customs ^and^ directions of the Acts of Assembly af.d so far forth |
