 Somerset County sst     Joshua Porter late of Somerset County planter

Otherwise Called Joshua Porter of Somerset County planter was Somoned
to answer unto Joseph Ennalls of a plea that he render unto him the sum of ninety
one pounds one shilling and six pence which to him he oweth and unjustly detaineth

And whereupon the said Joseph by Charles Goldsborough his attorney saith that
whereas the aforesaid Joshua the thirteenth day of august seventeen hundred thiry and
four at Somerset County af.d by his Certain Writing Obligatory had granted himself
to be held and firmly bound unto the aforesaid Joseph in the sum of ninety one pounds
one shilling and six pence aforesaid to be paid unto the af.d Joseph when thereof ^afterward^ the
^he should be required  Nevertheless the^ aforsaid Joshua altho often required the foresaid sum of money into the aforesaid
Joseph hath not rendred but that unto him hitherto to render or altogether hath refused
and still doth refuse to the damage of the same Joseph Ten pounds and one thousand
pounds of Tobacco and thereof he brings suit &a  And doth bring here into Court the
writing obligatory af.d which the Debt af.d in form af.d doth testify the date whereof
in the same day and year af.d                      Pledges &a J Doe and R Roe

And the af.d Joshua Porter by William Goldsborough his attorney Comes and defends
the force and Injury when &a   and saith that he Cannot deny the action af.d of the
af.d Joseph Ennalls nor but that the writing obligatory af.d is the deed of
the same Joshua Porter nor but that he oweth the same Joseph Ennalls
the af.d ninety one pounds one shilling and six pence in manner and form as
the af.d Joseph Ennalls above against him declared

Therefore it is Considered that the af.d Joseph Ennalls recover against
the af.d Joshua Porter his debt af.d and his damages by occasion of the
detention of the same debt to

by the Court here adjudged and the af.d Joshua Porter in Mercy &a
