212 The deposistion of M.r Thomas Dashiell sen.r aged seventie two years or there abouts being sworn saith that severall years ago he was in companye with severall persons att a gum tree standing in the northmost first branch that makes out of the mane branch of great monye about one quarter of a mile from the brige that is on the mane road that Led over Monye near to the house of Thomas Cares the said tree standing in the said branch between two Clearings and that this deponant then heard severall say that ^the^ af.d gum tree was the first bounder of the Land that Thomas Carey then lived on and this deponant further saith that the survayor at the same time began at the said tree and run to the second bounder and Came within about a Chanes length of the second bounder or there abouts and furder saith not Tho.s Dashiell senr The deposition of Jacob Crouch aged fifty five years or thereabouts being sworn on the holy evangelist of almighty God deposeth and sayeth that he was present with M.r Thomas Dashiell and severall others about thirty years by past at the Runing out of the Land where Thomas Carey now lives Called Carys adventure and that Levin Denwood shewed them the marked Gum which is above discribed In M.r Dashiells deposition and said it was the first bounder of Carys adventure and this deponant sayeth that they Run the Courses of the said Land and that it came near to the other bounders and further sayeth not Jacob Crouch The deposition of Henry Dorman sen.r aged sixty six years or there abouts being sworn sayeth that about thirty years by past William Carey shewed him a marked red oak which stands on the main branch of maryland about a hundred and fifty yards above a hous where Williamson Luke now lives by the branch side and the said Cary told him that it was a bound of the fork land belonging to Thomas Carey but did not tell him whether it was first or second and this deponant further sayeth that about seven or eight years by past he was In the woods with Cap Philip Covington and the said Covington shewed him the same tree and told him that tree was a bounder of the forck Land belonging to Thomas Carey and furder saith not Henry Dorman The deposition of Mathew Dorman aged sixty years or there abouts being sworn deposeth and sayeth that he was in Company with Thomas Cary Joye Hobbs and |
