and severall others about six years by past and they were going to run som lines of a tract
of Land belonging to Thomas Carys Called Washford which it was Commonly Called the fork
Land and old Joye Hobs shewed them a marked red oak standing by the side of the main
branch of mony which is about a hundred and fifty yard.s above a hous where Williamson
Luke now lives and told them that oak was the first bounder of washford and that he
was present at the marking of it and further sayeth not      Mathew Dorman

    The deposition of David Crouch aged twenty years or there abouts being sworn
sayeth that he was presents with Mathew Dorman at the same time and agrees
with him in his evidence onley he remembers that Joye Hobbs said the Land was taken
up Henry Hayman but differs In nothing Elce and further sayeth not David Crouch

Command was given to the Sheriffe of Somerset County that he
should take William Porter (brother of Francis Porter) Late of Somerset
County Carpenter otherwise Called William Porter of the same County ^and^ province Carpenter and
Joyner if he should be found in his bailywick and him should safe keep so that he might have his
body before the Justices of his Lordships County Court of Somerset to be held at devid
deviding Creek in the same County the third tuesday of March ^then^ Next ^following^ to answer unto Edm.d
Hough of a plea that he render him twenty six pounds Current money of maryland which
to him he owes and unjustly detains &.a

       And hereupon the said Edmond Hough declared against the said William Porter in
the plea afd in form following viz.t
                                                          Somerset ss.t  William Porter (brother of Francis
Porter) Late of Somerset County Carpenter Otherwise Called William Porter of the Same
County and province Carpenter and Joyner was summoned to answer unto Edmund Hough
of a plea that he render unto him twenty six pounds Currt money of maryland
which to him owes and unjustly detains &.a

And Whereupon the said Edmund by George Douglas his attorney says
that whereas by certain Articles of agreement made and concluded upon on the
twenty third day of may Anno Dom MDCCXXXV between the said William by
the name of William Porter of the same County and province Carpenter of the one
