210 Proprietary in ten pounds Sterling Each of their Severall Goods and Chattells Lands & tenements to the use of his said Lordship his heirs and Successors to be made and Levied If it happen that the afd Alexander Brown do not make his personall appearance before the Justices of his Lordships County Court of Somerset to be held at dividing Creek the third Tuesday of June then next following and do not answer unto his said Lordship of and Concerning the Charge of Bastardy afd and do not stand and abide the Judgment of the Court thereupon and do depart the Same Court without Leave &a
his said Lordships Justices the peace in the same County to keep assigned by the oath of twelve Jurors being presented that Joshua Caldwell late of Coventry parish in the County af.d Gentleman the twenty second day of march in the year of our Lord God one thousand seven hundred thirty and seven at the parish af.d in the County af.d within the Jurisdiction of this Court in and upon Joseph Enolds Gent in the peace of God and the said Lord proprietary then and there being by force and arms an assault did make and him the said Joseph Enolds then and there did beat wound and evilly treat so that of his life itt was greatly despaired and other harms to him then and there did to the grievous damage of him the said Joseph Enolds and against the peace of the said Lord proprietary that now is his good rule and Government Thereupon Command was given to the Sheriffe of Somerset County that he Should take the said Joshua Caldwell if he Should be found in his Bailywick and him should safe keep so that he might have his body before the Justices of his Lordships County County Court of Somerset now sitting at dividing Creek to answer unto his said Lordship of |
