                                           Be it remembred that on the ninth day of January
Ann Dom 1737  Came before me the subscriber one of his Lordships Justices (to
keep the peace assignd William Bowler with James Furnice his security and did acknowledge
them selves to owe and stand Justly Indebted unto the Right Honourable the Lord proprietary
in the full and Just sum of tenn pounds sterling money Each to be Levied of their bodys Good or Chattles
Lands or Teniments in Case default be made in the Condition hereafter mentioned

The Condition of the above Recognizance is such that if the above bound William Bowler do
make his personall appearance before the Justices of his Lordships County Court of Somerset to be held at
Dividing Creek in the same County the third Tuesday of March next then and there to answer unto
all such matters and things as shall be alledged against him and that in the mean time he be of his
good behaviour to his Lordships good people and more Especially to William Collins and his
family that then the above recognizance to be Void Else to remain and be ^in^ full force power and Vertue
in Law         Taken before me the day and year above      Henry Ballard

    And now to witt the third Tuesday of March at that Same term before his Lordships Justices at
dividing Creek Came the afd W.m Bowler in his proper person according to a Certain Recognizance
by him and his Security in that part before acknowledged and prays that his appearance
may be recorded and he and his Security discharged  Thereupon the said William Bowlers
appearance is recorded and he and his Security accordingly discharged &a   Thereupon
the said William Bowler is ordered to give security for the payment of the severall
officers fees due by means of the premisses and Indictment af.d &a  Whereupon the
said William Bowler with James Furnise of Somerset County planter present
herein Court in their proper persons acknowledged themselves Indebted unto
the severall officers of Somerset County Court that hath a right to any fee or
fees on the Indictment and premisses af.d  In Five hundred pounds of tobacco
of their bodys goods or Chattles Land or tenements to the use of the severall
officers af.d their heirs or assignes to be made and levied In case the said
William Bowler do not pay and satisfie unto the severall officers af.d
their Just and rightfull fee or fees due on the Indictment and premisses
af.d &a
