that now is his good rule and Government and against the form of the act
of assembly in such case lately made and provided &a

    And now to witt the third Tuesday of March at the Same term before his said Lordships
Justices at dividing Creek Came the afd William Evans according to a Certain Recognizance
by him and his security in that part first acknowledged and being by the
Sheriffe Led to the Barr in his proper person who is thereupon Committed into the
Custody of the same sheriffe &.a and Instantly the said William Evans is asked how he
of the feloney afd above upon him Imposed will thereof acquitt himselfe saith that he is
in noe sort Guilty thereof and thereupon of good and Evill puts himselfe upon the
Country and Robert Jenckins Henry Gent who for his said Lordship in this part followeth
Likewise
                            Therefore let Come Immediately thereof the Jury before his said Lordships
Justices at dividing Creek this Instant third Tuesday of March by which &a and who &a
to recognize &a because &a and the Jurors of that Same Jury by the Sheriffe of the County
aforesaid to this Impannelled vizt  Edmond Hough  Thomas Dixon  Capell King  Isaac Marshall
Robert Mitchell  Moses Chaille  William Venables  John Fleming  John Roach  James
Strawbridge  Solomon Long  Nathaniel Waller Jun.r being Called Came who to say the
truth of the premisses being Elected tryed and Sworn say upon their Oath that the aforesaid
William Evans is guilty of the feloney afd ^above^ upon him in form afd Imposed in manner and
form as by the Indictment afd above against him Supposed      Whereupon all and singular
the premisses being seen and by the Court fully understood

                Thereupon the Court here according to act of assembly in Such Case made and provided
valued the Shirt in the Indictment afd mentioned to ten Shillings Curr.t money of Maryland
therefore It is Considered that the afd William Evans pay unto John Boyce the party Greived
forty Shillings Currant money of Maryland being four fold of the value of the Shirt afd valued
and mentioned i the Indictment ^afd^ to be Stolen   and that the afd W.m Evans Stand in & upon
the pillowry at dividing Creek in the County afd the space of a quarter of an hour and Likewise
that he be whipt with fifteen Stripes at the publick whiping post at the place afd on
the Bare Back Well Laid on untill the Blood appear and that the said William Evans
be taken &a   Thereupon as to the Corporall punishm.t afd Command is given to the Sherr
of the County afd that he do thereof Immediate Execution according to the Judgment afd rendered
