2 Whereupon all and singular the premisses by the Court here seen heard and fully understood It is Considered that the af.d William Hayman Jun.r pay unto his Lordship the Right Honourable the Lord proprietary for his fine by the Court hereupon him Imposed for and by Occasion of the trespass and assault af.d whereof in form af.d he is Convicted one shilling Curr.t money of Maryland and that the said William Hayman Jun.r be taken to satisfie the said Lordship of the fine af.d &c Whereupon It is ordered by the Court here that the said William Hayman Jun.r give Security for the payment of the severall officers their Fees due upon the Indictment af.d Thereupon a Certain James Anderson of Somerset County planter present herein Court in his proper person undertook for the said William Hayman and assumed upon himself that he would pay unto the severall officers their Fee or Fees due by means of the premisses af.d on the Indictment af.d In Case the said William Hayman doth not pay the same
af.d within the Jurisdiction of this Court in and upon a Certain John Lay of the same County planter in the peace of God and of the said Lord proprietary then and there being with force and Arms an assault did make and the same John then and there did beat wound and evilly treat so that of his life it was much despaired and other harms to him then and there did to the great damage of [illegible] and against the peace of the said Lord proprietary that now is his good rule Government Testis John Lay [illegible] Indictment it was endowed viz.t True Bill p Wm Jones Foreman [illegible] was given to the sheriff of Somerset County that he should take [illegible] his bailywick and him should safe keep so that [illegible] his Lordships County Court of Somerset to be held {illegible] same County the third Tuesday of March [illegible] Concerning the Indictment af.d for [illegible] should not fail &c And afterwards the said [illegible] day of the same month Anno Dom one thousand [illegible] Justices of his Lordships County Court of Somerset [illegible] Dividing Creek and for the same County Comes the [illegible] had a hearing of (the |
