Jonathan Bounds John Paden and James Polk who to say the truth of
the premisses being elected tryed and sworn upon their oath say that the af.d
James Duffey is guilty of the felony above upon him Imposed in maner
and form as by the Indictment af.d above Supposed        Whereupon the Court
here valued the goods in the Indictment af.d mentioned to be Stolen according to act of assembly
in Such Case provided as followeth one pair of thread stockens valued at two Shillings
and Six pence Curr.t money of Maryland one pair of Britches at Seven Shillings & Six pence
Like money one old Jackett at One Shilling and Six pence Like money One mans shirt at
Six shillings Like money in the whole to Seventeen Shillings and Six pence Curr.t money of
Maryland   Whereupon all and Singular the premisses by the Court here seen heard and fully
understood   It is Considered that the afd James Duffey pay unto the afd John Holland
the party deprived four fold of the value of the goods afd stolen (and valued by the Court here
as afd) amounting to three pounds ten Shillings Curr.t money of Maryland   And that
the af.d James Duffey stand in and upon the pillowry Immediately at
deviding Creek in the County af.d the space of a quarter of an hour and
that the said James Duffey be whipt at the publick whiping ^post^ with
ten stripes on the bare back well Laid on untill the blood appear and
and that the same ^James^ Duffey be taken &.a  and thereupon as to the Corporall
punishment af.d Command is given to the sherriffe of the County af.d
that he do thereof Immediate execution according to the Judgment
af.d rendered by setting the same James Duffey in and upon the pillowry
one quarter of an hour and by whiping him at the publick
whiping post with ten stripes on the bare back well Laid on untill
the blood appear and afterwards in the same Court Came the said sherriffe
and made return that he had done the execution of the Judgment af.d ^as to the Corporall punishmt^ afd he
was Commanded  and thereupon the said James Duffey present herein
Court in his proper person is Committed into the Custody of the sherriffe
of the County afd thereto remain (untill the said James Duffey be discharged
from a fine of twenty pounds Currt money of maryland that he
now stands in Custody for) and then the said James Duffey to be returned
