of the premisses above upon him Imposed was asked how he would acquitt himselfe thereof says
that he is not thereof Guilty and ^thereof^ of good and Evill he puts himselfe upon the Country and thereupon
the said James Duffey is Committed into the Custody of the afd Sheriffe there to remaine &a

Which same Indictment the afd Justices of his said Lordship ^of Assize and Goal delivery^ afterwards to witt at a County Court
of his said Lordship held for Somerset County at dividing Creek in the SAme County the third Tuesday
of November Anno Dom One thousand Seven hundred & thirty Six Before Robert King Gent
and others his associates Justices of his said Lord^ship^ in & for the County afd by their own proper hands
delivered herein Court of Record in due form of Law to be determined

    Thereupon Command was given to the Sheriffe of the County afd that he Should take the
said James Duffey if he should be found in his bailywick and him should safe keep so that
he might have his body before the justices of his Lordships County Court of Somerset to be held
at dividing Creek the third tuesday of March then next following to answer unto his said
Lordship the feloney afd in the Indictment afd mentioned &a

    Att which day here before his Lordships Justices at dividing Creek Came the afd James
Duffey under Custody of the afd sheriffe in whose Custody before that time for the Cause afd
was Committed and to the Bar now here Led in his proper person      Thereupon Command
was Given to the Sheriffe of the County afd that he ^should^ Cause to Come before his said Lordships Justices
at dividing Creek the third Tuesday of June then next following Twelve &a and who &a
to recognize &a becaus &a and the same day is given to the afd James Duffey under Custody
of the afd Sheriffe & in the Interim he is Committed into safe Custody &a

     Att which day here before his Lordships Justices at dividing Creek Cometh the afd
James Duffey under Custody of John Harly the Sheriffe in his proper person and
the sherife sends not thereof his writt   therefore as before Command is Given to the sher same
Sheriffe that he Cause to Come here before his Lordships Justices at dividing Creek the third
Tuesday of August then next following Twelve &a & who &a to recognize &a and in form afd and
the same day is given to the afd James Duffey under Custody of the afd Sheriffe and in the
Interim he is Committed into safe Custody &a    Att which day here before his Lordships Justices
at dividing Creek Came the said James Duffey under Custody of John Henry Gent sheriffe of the
County afd in his proper person in whose Custody for the Cause afd before that time was taken
