as by account hereunto annexed may in Court appear and being so thereof
Indebted the said Hannah in her life time to witt the day and year af.d
at the County af.d upon herself did assume and to the said Joshua then and
and there did faithfully promise that she the said Hannah the said
three thousand eight hundred seventy six pounds of tobacco to the ^said^ Joshua
when she should be thereunto requested well and faithfully she would pay
and Content and altho' the said Hannah in her life time two thousand
seven hundred and sixty seven pounds of tobacco pcell of the af.d three
thousand seven hundred seventy six pounds of tobacco to the said Joshua
she hath paid and satisfyed yett as to eleven hundred and nine pounds of
tobacco residue thereof the said Hannah in her life time and the said
Stephen since the decease of the said Hannah the promise and assumption
of the said Hannah in form af.d made nothing regarding but plotting
and fraudulently the said Joshua in that part craftily and subtilly to
deceive and defraud the said eleven hundred and nine pounds of tobacco
to the said Joshua have not paid but the same to him to pay have
refused tho' often thereunto requested and the said Stephen the same
to the said Joshua to pay still doth refuse and deny to the damage
of the said Joshua of eleven pounds Currt money of maryland
and thereupon he brings suit &.a                   Pledges &a J D R Roe
