Att which day here before his Lordships Justices at deviding Creek Came as
well the af.d Thomas Nevett as the af.d William M.ccClemmey by their
attorneys af.d and hereupon the said Thomas declared against the said
William M.ccClemmey in the plea af.d in form following viz.t  Somerset County
ss.t  William M.ccClemmey late of County planter was attached to answer unto
Thomas Nevett of a plea of trespass upon the Case &a

And Whereupon the said Thomas by Robert Jenckins Henry
his attorney complains that whereas a Certain William Coll the twenty
third day of September which was in the year of our Lord one thousand
seven hundred thirty and five at Somerset County af.d (the same William
Coll then and there negotiateing and Comerce useing) according to the use
and Custom of merchant from the time whereof the memory of man is not to the
Contrary in such case made and approved did make and draw his certain first
bill of exchange in writing bearing date the same day and year and the
same first bill of exchange with his proper name and hand then and there
did subscribe and that bill unto a Certain M.r William Black merchant
in London then and yet negotiateing and Comerce ^using^ to witt at London in
Somerset County af.d did direct and by the same bill of exchange did require
the same William Black att thirty days sight of that his said first
Bill of exchange his second nor third of the same tenor and date not paid
to pay unto Thomas Gray by the name of M.rs Thomas Gray ^or order the said Thos Gray^ then
and there negotiateing and comerce useing (to witt at Somerset County
af.d the sum of twenty five pounds nine shillings and seven pence sterling
for value from him received and place the same to account of him
the said William Coll and whereas afterwards (to witt) the twenty fourth
day of September one thousand seven hundred thirty and five at Somerset
County af.d the same Thomas Gray the af.d twenty five pounds nine
