November Court                    1737                140

the third tuesday of November then next following and do not then and there answer
unto his said Lordship of the fornication af.d and do depart the same Court without
Leave and do not stay and abide the Judgment of the Court thereupon &.a

Att which third Tuesday of November to witt the fifteenth day of the Same month ann Dom
One thousand seven hundred and thirty seven before the Justices of his Lordship County Court
of Somerset at dividing Creek Came as well the afd William Goldsborough Gent who followeth
&.a as the afd Lydia Coefeild in her proper person and the said sheriffe returned the
names of Twelve Jurors which same Jurors to this Impannelled being Called ^likewise^ Came to witt
John Dennis Jun.r William Kitchen Isaac Williams Daniel Maddox Lewis Rigsby James
Strawbridge Thomas Perkins Nehemiah Holland Edward William John Price Jonathan
Bounds Joshua Atkinson who to say the truth of and upon the premisses afd being
Elected tryed and Sworn upon their Oath say that the afd Lydia Coefeild is not Guilty of the premisses
in the Indictment afd above specified in manner and form as the afd Lydia for herselfe
above by pleading alledged      Whereupon all and Singular the premisses by the Court here seen
and fully understood   It is Considered by the Court here that the afd Lydia Coefeild of the
premisses afd be quiet and goe thereof without day &.a  Whereupon the said Lydia Coefield
is ordered by the Court here to give security for the payment of the severall officers
fees due by means of the premisses on the Indictment af.d    Thereupon John Scarbrough
of Somerset County Gen.t her security present herein Court acknowledged himself
Indebted unto the severall officers of Somerset County Court that hath a right to any
fee or fees on the Indictment af.d in one thousand pounds of tobacco of his body goods or
Chattles Lands or tenements to the use of the severall officer or officers their heirs
or assignes to be made and Levied  In Case the said Lydia Coefield her heirs Executors or
administrators do not pay and satisfie unto the severall officers in the County
af.d their Just and right full fees on the Indictment af.d &a


Benjamin Holland appears according to his recognizance to Give Evidence against Lydia
Coefeild and is accordingly discharged &a
