138 said Lordship of and Concerning of her Committing of fornication &.a and that thereof he Should not fail &a And afterwards to witt the third Tuesday of August being the Sixteenth day of the Same month ann Dom One thousand Seven hundred & thirty Seven that same term before the Justices of his Lordship the right honrble the Lord Proprietary at dividing Creek Cam in the same County Came the afd Catherine Harrison in her proper person and had a hearing of the Indictment afd who thereupon says that she is not thereof Guilty and of this she putts herselfe upon the Country and William Goldsborough Gent his Lordships attorney and who for his Said Lordship in that part followeth Likewise Thereupon Command was given to the Sheriff of Somerset County that he Should Cause to Come before the Justices of his Lordship County Court of Somerset to be held at dividing Creek the third Tuesday of November then next following twelve &.a who &.a to recognizance &.a because as well &a and the Same day is Given to the said Will.m Goldsborough ^Gent who &a^ there alsoe &a Whereupon a Certain Rob.t Geddes of Somerset County Gent present herein Court in his proper person undertook for the said Catherine Harrison and acknowledged himselfe Indebted unto his said Lordship the Lord proprietary of the province of Maryland in ten pounds Sterling good and Lawfull money of England of his goods and Chattells Lands and tenements to the use of his said Lordship his heirs and Successors to be made and Levied If it happen that the said Catherine Harrison do not make her personall appearance before the Justices of his said Lordships County Court of Somerset to be held at dividing ^Creek^ in the Same County the third tuesday of November then next following and do not then and do not then and there answer unto his said Lordship of the fornication afd and do depart the Same Court without Leave and do not stay and abide the Judgment of the Court thereupon &a att which day here before the Justices of his Lordships County Court of Somerset at Dividing Creek Cometh the said William Goldsborough Gent who for his said Lordship in that part followeth as the afd Catherine Harrison in her proper person according to the afd recognizance before acknowledged and the same Sheriffe returned the names of Twelve Jurors which Same Jurors to this Impannelled being Called Likewise Came to witt John Dennis Jun.r W.m Kitchen John Fleming Isaac Williams Daniel Maddox Lewis Rigsby Benj.a Holland Thomas Perkins Nehemiah Holland Edw.d William John Price and Jonathan Bounds who to say the truth of and upon the premisses afd being Elected tryed & Sworn upon their Oath say that the afd Catherine Harrison is not guilty of the premisses in the Indictment afd above Specified in manner and form as the afd Catherine for herselfe above by pleading alledged Whereupon all and Singular the premisses by the Court here being Seen |
