yours petitioner being possest of a tract of Land lying and being in Somerset County on the
north side of Wiccocomoco River Called Noble Quarter and the bounders thereof being som
what precarious your petitioner humbly prays your Worships to appoint Commissioners
to Examine evidences about the bounds of the Land af.d and your petitioner as in duty bound
shall pray                                 the petition afd being read and heard and fully understood and
mature deliberation thereupon had   Wherefore it is Considered by the Court here that a Commission
Issue to the afd John Crockett as by the petition afd is praid and that George Gale Edward Chambers
Mathis Gale and Will.m Jones Monay of the County afd Gent be Commissioners and Execute the same
Commission according to act of assembly in such Case made and provided &a


Elizabeth Laws
  Chose Guardian
Elizabeth Laws an Orphan above the age of Fourteen Years
came hereinto Court in her proper person and prays that she may
be admitted to Chose a Certain Edward Beachamp as her Guardian which
is by the Court here Granted   thereupon the said Elizabeth Laws present herein Court
makes Choice of the said Edward Beachamp as her Guardian &c   Whereupon the said Edw.d
Beachamp present herein Court in his proper person undertook and promiseth to give the
said Eliz.a Laws during the time she should Continue under his Care three month Schooling &
to Learn her to knitt sew and Spin and on the Six and Twentieth day of June next being
the day that the said Eliza Laws should arrive at Sixteen Years of age the said Edward Beachamp
to give the said Eliza Laws a new Suit of Cloaths over and above her Common wearing
Cloaths &c


John Murray Jun.r being troubled a malancholy or madness &a is by the Court here at the
mocon of Cap.t James Martin discharged of paying of Taxes or Levies &a


Jane Lister negro ^boy^ named Will is adjudged by the Court here to the age of nine years this term &c

Petition of Thomas Carey most humbly sheweth that whereas your petitioner
being possest of two tracts of Lands lying and being in Somerset County upon the head of great
monny the one Called Careys adventure and the other washford and the bounds thereof being somewhat
precarius your petitioner humbly prays your Worships to appoint Commissioners to
examine evidences on the said two tracts of Land af.d and your petitioner as in duty bound shall
ever pray                     the petition af.d being read and heard and fully understood and mature
