Current money of Maryland and Seven hundred and Ninety five pounds of tobacco which to Alex.d
Buncle in his Lordships County Court of Somerset before the Justices thereof at dividing Creek were
adjudged for his damages which he had by occasion of a Certain promise and assumption to the
same Alexander by the afd Francis in the County afd made and not performed and that sam
money and tobacco he Should have before the Justices of his said Lordships County Court of Somerset
to be held at dividing Creek afd the third Tuesday of august ann Dom One thousand
Seven hundred & thirty Seven to Satisfie the afd Alexander of his damages afd whereof the
same Francis is Convicted &c

             Att which day here before the Justices of his Lordships County Court of Somerset at dividing
Creek Came the afd Alexander Buncle by George Douglas his attorney and the Sheriffe of the County
afd to witt John Henry Gent at the Same day here returned that by virtue of the writt afd
he had Caused to be made Twenty Seven pounds and ten pence Curr.t money of Maryland
and Seven hundred Ninety and five pounds of tobacco of the goods and Chattells of the
above Named Francis Porter which sum of Twenty Seven pounds ten pence and Seven
hundred and Ninety five pounds of tobacco before the Justices above mentioned at the day &
place above Contained he had ready as afd it was required &c


His Lordship

Alex.d Chain
    For as as the afd Alexander Chain had not burnt so much tobo
as by Law he was Obliged to burn but ^was^ willing to pay his fine for the same &c
Wherefore it is Considered that the afd Alexander Chaine pay unto his Lordship the Lord
Proprietary for his fine for and by occasion of the premisses afd Twenty Shillings Curr.t Money
of Maryland and is ordered to give Security for payment of the severall officers their fees
due by means of the premisses afd &c   Thereupon Nehemiah King of Somerset County Gent
present herein Court undertook for the Same Alex.d Chain to pay the severall officers Fees due by
Means of the premisses afd &c


Ordered that John Scarbrough recover against Ezekiell Wise one hundred and Twenty
pounds of tobacco being due unto him for his attendance four days as an Evidence for the said
Ezekiell Wise against adam Brafford he having made Oath to the same &c
