1737 120 Att which day here before the Justices of his Lordships County Court of Somerset at dividing Creek Came the said Thomas Fletcher by Francis Allen his attorney and the Sheriffe of the County afd to witt John Henry Gent at the Same day returned here that he had taken the afd John Tunstall whose body here at this day he had ready to satisfie &.c as afd he was Commanded &c But the same Sheriffe at the same day altho' Solemnly Called brings not in the body of the same John Tunstall according to the Return of the writt afd but made default &c
Somerset to be held at dividing Creek the third Tuesday of August ann Dom one thousand Seven hundred and thirty seven to satisfie Francis Allen of One thousand One hundred and Seventy five pounds of tobacco which to the same Francis in his Lordships County Court of Somerset before the Justices thereof at dividing Creek were adjudged for his damages which he had by occasion of a Certain promise and assumption to the same Francis by the afd Jeremiah made and not performed whereof he is Convicted &c Att which day here before the Justices of his Lordships County Court of Somerset at dividing Creek Came the said Francis Allen in his proper person and the afd Jeremiah Wright being to the bar now here Ledd by the Sheriffe of the County afd by virtue of the writt afd to the same Sheriffe directed and being by the Court here asked whether he were the Same Jeremiah the Same person which the afd Francis as well in the Dam^a^ges afd above Convicted or not who says that he be Therefore the Same Jeremiah Wright is Committed to the prison of the Sheriffe of the County afd thereto remain in safe Custody untill the afd Francis of the damages afd be Satisfied and Contented &c
