Thomas Perkins and and Benjamin Holland who to say the truth in the premisses afd being
Elected tryed and Sworn upon their Oath do say that the afd John Stewart in his Life time
did assume upon himselfe in such manner and form as the afd Richard Knight above ag.t
them have Complained and assesed the damage of the Same Richard by occasion of the
non performance of the promise and assumption afd beyond his Costs and Charges by him
about his Suit in that part apposed to four pounds Curr.t money of Maryland and
for those Costs and Charges and Charges to one pound of tobo

    Therefore it is Considered that the afd Richard Knight Recover against the afd
Peter Taylor and Sarah his wife the damages afd by the Jurors afd in form afd assessed
as also                                                                pounds of tobacco for his Costs and
Charges afd to the Same Richard by the Court here of his assent of Increase adjudged
which Certain damages in the whole do amount to four pounds Curr.t Money of Maryland
677   and                                                                         pounds of tobacco to be Levied
of the goods and Chattells which were of the afd John Stewart at the time of his death in the hands
of the Same Sarah to be administred if so much in her hands she hath and if so much in
her hands she hath not than the Costs afd to be Levied of the proper goods and Chattells of the
same Peter and Sarah and the afd Defts in Mercy &.c

    Command was given to the Sheriff of Somerset County that he Should
take William Whittington late of Somerset County Gent if he should be
found in his bailywick and him should safe keep so that he might
have his body before the Justices of his Lordships County Court of Somerset to be held at
Dividing Creek the third Tuesday of August anno Dom One thousand Seven hundred
and thirty Seven to answer unto William Hook and Comfort his wife Executrix of the testament
and Last Will of George Taylor of a plea of trespass upon the Case &.c and that thereof he
Should not fail &.c                   Att which day here before the Justices of his Lordships County Court
of Somerset at dividing Creek Came the said William Hook and Comfort his wife by George Douglas
their attorney and the Sheriffe of Somerset County to witt Joseph McClester Gent at the same day here
Returned that he had taken the afd William Whittington whose body here at this day he had ready
to answer the afd William Hook and Comfort his wife of the afd plea as to him it was Commanded
                                                                                                                                              And
