1737 104 said Lord ship the Lord proprietary against the said John Edwards ^on suspicion of felony &c^ and do depart the same Court in their Leave &c
before the Justices of his Lordships County Court of Somerset to be held at dividing Creek the third Tuesday of November then next to give Evidence as afd &c Whereupon the Same Anthony Taylor present herein Court in his proper person undertook for the said Sarah Taylor his wife in five pounds Sterling to be Levied of his body goods or Chattells Lands or tenements to the Use of his said Lordship his heirs and Successors to be made and Levied if it Happen that the said Sarah do not make her personall appearance before the Justices of his Lordships County Court of Somerset to be held at dividing Creek the third Tuesday of Novem then next And do not then and there give Such Evidence as she shall know on behalfe of his Lordship against the said John Edwards on Suspicion of felony and do depart the Same Court without Leave &c
unto ^the said^ William & James Bowlands their heirs Ex.rs Adm.rs or assignes to the which payment well and truly to be made and done we bind ourselves our and either of our heirs Ex.rs & Adm.rs for the whole and in the whole Jointly and severally firmly by these presents sealed with our s^e^als and dated the 16 Day of Aug.t Ann Dom 1737 The Condition of the above obligation is such that whereas the Commissary Genll hath transmitted unto this Court the Account of the Estate of william Bowland Decd where in it is found that there is ball due to the above said orphans the sum of thirty Eigh pounds ten shillings and eleven pence Curr.t money for the above said Eleaner Bowland her heirs Ex.rs or Adm.rs do and shall well and truly pay or Cause to be paid unto the af.d orphans the af.d sum of thirty Eight pounds ten shillings and Eleven pence Curr.t Money of Maryland to be paid them according to act of assembly and dec.d will when they shall arrive at full age to receive the same &.c Then the above obligation to be void and of none effect otherwise to remain in full force and vertue &c her Sealed & delivered John Smith Eleanor + Bowland (+) In presence of Henry Ballard mark George Benston (+) Woney McClemmey (+) |
