His Lordship

John Edwards
 Memorand.m that this day viz.t the 16.th day of July 1737 Came before the Subscriber                                                
One of his Lordships Justices the peace for the County of Somerset John Edwards
and his securityes Cap.t John Gale and Robert Dashield and did acknowledge
them selves to be indebted unto his Lordship the Lord proprietary John Gale in the Sum of five
pounds sterling money and Robert Dashield in the sum of five pounds each apeace like money
af.d all to be levied upon their Bodyes goods and Chatels Lands and tenements for the use of his Lordship
the Lord proprietary his heirs and Sucksesers

The Condition of the is such that if the above bound John Edward Dow make his personall
appear^ance^ the third Tuesday of august at dividing Creek at a Court then and there held to answer unto
all Such matters as on his Lordships Behalfe shall be Objected against him by M.rs Mary Benston
on Suspicion of hoggstealling and to stand and abide the Judgmt of the Court thereon &c
afterwards to witt the third Tuesday of August to witt the Sixteenth day of the same month Ann Dom
One thousand Seven and thirty Seven personally appeared here ^the afd John Edwards^ before his Said Lordships Justices
at dividing Creek according to the afd recognizance by him and his Security before acknowledged and
prays that his appearance may be recorded and he and his Securitys accordingly discharged

        Thereupon the Same John Edwards appearance is recorded and he and his Security discharged
Whereupon the said John Edwards is ordered to give New Security for his appearance
before the Justices of his Lordships County Court of Somerset the third Tuesday of November then
next to answer as before &c
                                                                Thereupon the said John Edwards with Mathias Gale
of Somerset County Gent his Security both present herein Court in their proper persons acknowledged
themselves Indebted unto his Lordship the Lord proprietary in ten pounds Sterling
Each of their Severall goods and Chattells Lands and tenements to the Use of his said Lordship
his heirs and Successors to be made and Levied  If it happen that the said John Edwards
do not make his personall appearance before the Justices of his Lordships County
Court of Somerset to be held at dividing Creek the third Tuesday of November then next to answer
unto his Lordship on Suspicion of Felony and do not stand and abide the Judgment of
the Court thereon and do depart the Same Court without Leave and in the meantime if he be not
of the good behaviour &c
