1736 10 against the af.d Solomon may be made to answer ^upon^ the same Lord proprietary of and upon the premisses Thereupon Command was Given to the Sheriff of Somerset County that he Should take the afd Solomon Riggin if &c to answer &c and afterwards to witt the ^nineteenth^ fifteenth day of March Anno Dom One thousand Seven hundred and thirty Six before the Justices of his Lordships County Court of Somerset now here held in the Court house at dividing Creek in the Same County Comes the said Solomon Riggin in Custody of the Sheriffe of Somerset in his proper person into whose Custody before that time was taken by the said sheriffe of the Causes afd And being by the said Sheriffe Ledd to the Barr is Instantly demanded how he would acquitt himselfe of the Trespass and assault afd as by the Information afd above upon him Imposed saith that he Cannot Gainsay but that he is Guilty of the trespass and assault afd in manner & form afd above upon him Imposed &c Whereupon all and singular the premisses by the Court here seen heard and fully understood &c It is Considered that the afd Solomon Riggin pay unto his Lordship the Lord Proprietary of the province of Maryland for his fine by the Court here upon him Imposed for and by occasion of the trespass and assault afd whereof in form afd he is Convicted five pounds Curr.t money of Maryland and that the said Solomon Riggin be taken to Satisfie his said Lordship of the fine afd &c whereupon the said Solomon Riggin is ordered to give Security for his good behaviour and appearance at June Court next Whereupon the said Solomon Riggin with Jn.o Flemming Late of Somerset County Gent his Security both present herein Court in their proper persons acknowledged themselves Indebted unto his Lordship the Lord Proprietary of the province of Maryland in the Sum of Twenty pounds Sterling good and Lawfull money of Maryland England ^Each^ of their goods and Chattels Lands and tenements severally to the Use of the said Lord propry his heirs & Successors to be made and Levied If it happen that the said Solomon Riggin do not make his personall appearance before the Justices of his Said Lordships County Court Court of Somerset to ^be^ held at in the Court house at dividing Creek the third Tuesday June then next & do not answer unto his said Lordship of and concerning such Matters and things as Shall be then and thereof Objected against him on his said Lordships behalfe & do not stay & abide the Judgment of the Court thereon & in the mean time if he is not of the good behaviour towards his Said Lordship and all his good people and more Especially towards the said Cornelius Dickerson &c then &c John Flemming Security for fees &c |
