Talbot County to wit
 I hereby Certify that Doct Rob.t Moore
of the County & State afs.d Came & Proved
to my Satisfaction that the Bearer hereof
(a Very Dark mullatto (or Black) man named George alias
George Harriss who is now about 22 years of age 5 feet 4¼ in
high has one small scar on the outer corner of his right ^eye^ & one small
scar directly above the one just mentioned  has one other scar on his
left Cheek) was born free and raised by him the said Rob.t
Moore in the County afs.d
                                            In Testimony &.c this 12.th day
                                            of Feby 1813

 I hereby Certify that Howell Powell of
the County & State afs.d came & proved to
my satisfaction that the bearer hereof
Negro Ruth alias Ruth Barnes was born free and
raised in the County afs.d the said Ruth alias Ruth
Barnes is now about 24 years was 25 years of age on
the 2.d of May last 5 feet 6 inches high has one large
scar on her left arm about 5 inches above her elbow
occasioned by Vaccination   has two large scars and a
number of smaller ones on her right arm between her
elbow and wrist  has one small ditto on the third joint of
the fore finger on her left hand and several small ones
on the same arm between her elbow & wrist  Has
a large neck scar or lump on the bottom part of her both
her ears occasioned by piercing
                                      In Testimony &.c this 26.th
                                   of July 1813
