Talbot County to wit
 I hereby Certify all person
whom it doth or may concern
that Obadiah Garey of the County af.d came and
proved to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof a
very dark Mullatto Woman named Nan about
36 years of age 5 feet 5½ inches high with a scar
on the right side of her face was raised in the
county af.d is the Identical person set free by Margaret
Gardiner late of the county af.d
                   In witness whereof &.c this 3.d

State of Maryland Talbot County to wit
                I hereby certify ^all^ persons whom it doth or
may concern that Edward Caldwell of Talbot County
came and proved to my satisfaction that the bearer
hereof James Perkins aged 21 years last march a light
mullatto 5.3¾ inches high with a scar on the side
of his left foot is the son of a free white woman
who is lawfull married to a free mulatto man and
was raised in the County afs.d  In Testimony &.c
          (Seal)         this 4.th day of August 1810
