State of Maryland  Talbot County to wit
                I hereby certify that Freddie Carter of
the County and state afsd came & proved to
my satisfaction that the bearer hereof
a black woman who calls herself
Patty Carter and who is no about
17 years of age 5 f.t 3 in high has a
large scar on her left cheek is the
identical person mentioned in a man
from him the s.d Fred Carter to the said
Patty Carter bearing Date the fifth Ins.t &
duly acknowledged & enroled among the
Land records of the Coty af.d & that the
said Patty Carter was raised in Queen
anns County in the state af.d
                                In Testimony &.c this
                                12 March 1811


State of Maryland
Talbot County to wit
 I hereby Certify that William
Needles of the County and State
afs.d came and proved to my satisfaction
that the bearer hereof negro         alias      Mackey
about            years of age 5 feet           inches high
of a bright complexion

was born free and raised in the County afs.d
                         In Testimony &.c this 7.th day of
                         september 1813
