83 State of Maryland Talbot County to wit I hereby that M.rs Sarah Dickinson of said County and that came and proved to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof a negro woman who calls herself Polly and who is now about thirty years of age five feet one inch and an half high one small scar on the inside of her right arm several other small scars on the back of her neck little or no eyebrows dark complexion is the identical person named in a manumission made by John Dickinson to free at the expiration of five years from the first day of January Eighteen hundred and one which said man is duly executed and recorded among the Land records of the County afd where the said negro woman Polly was raised In Testimony &.c this 20 Aug 1810 JLoockerman Cl State of maryland Talbot County to wit I hereby certify that Miss Patience Handy of said County & state came and proved to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof a Coloured woman who Calls herself Pat and who is now about thirty five years of age five feet two Inches and a quarter of an inch high a scar on her right wrist and has rather a bright Complection is the identical person named in a Manumission made by M.rs Margret Allend on the ninth Day of December in the year of our Lord Eighteen hundred and Eight to be free from the Date thereof which said manumission was Duly Executed and enrolled among the land record Books of Talbot County aforesaid which the said pat was raised In testimony whereof &.c this 4 day of may 1811 JLoockerman Cl
that the bearer hereof (negro Daniel alias Daniel Sewell who is now about 21 years of age 5 feet 7¼ in high of a light black complexion has one small scar on his left arm and near the bone of his wrist & one other scar directly on the bone of his left wrist both occasioned (as he says) by burns) was born free & raised in Caroline County in the state afs.d In Testimony &.c this 21 Feby 1815 JLoockerman Clk |
