       Maryland Talbot County to wit
             I hereby certify that General Prery Benson of
the county and state aforesaid came and proved to
my satisfaction that the bearer hereof a black man
who Calls himself nace Gibson and who is now about
Forty years of age five feet eight inches high
of a Dark complexion and without any notable
or visable marks is the Identicle person distinguished
by the name of nace in a manumission made
by the said Gen.l Benson on this day to be free
from the date hereof which said manumission
is duly executed and recorded among the Land
Records of the county aforesaid
                  In Testimony whereof &.c this 28.th day
    of January 1812         JLoockerman Clk


            
             State of Maryland
             Talbot County to wit
 I hereby Certify that Jesse
Sharmaker of the County       N
             and State afs.d Came and proved to my satisfaction
             that the Bearer hereof a dark Mulatto Man
             who calls himself Thomas Adley who is now about
             52 years of age 5 feet 4¾ inches high has a scar on
             or near the end of the second finger of his left hand one
             small scar on the side of his left thumb & one large scar
             on his Breast is the identical person set free by Thomas
             Townsend &.c by man bearing date the 30th day of September
             1806 which said Man was duly attested acknowledged
             & enrolled among the Land records of the County afs.d
             when the said Thos Adley was raised
                                       In Testimony &.c this 15.th day of
                   (Seal)          April 1814
