Talbot County to wit
 I hereby Certify that M.r William Mullikin
of the County and State aforesaid
that the bearer hereof negro John alias John Mackery
who is now about twenty seven years of age Five feet
four Inches and one quarter of an Inch high of a
bright Yellow Complexion has no notable marks
or scars Except a Small Scar on the Inside of his
left hand partly between the fore finger and
thumb was born free and Raised in the county
and state aforesaid
                               In Testimony whereof &c
    (Seal)                  this 27th day of Dec.r 1814

County & State afs.d came & proved to
my satisfaction that the bearer ^hereof^ a Black
Girl named Rachel otherwise called Rachel
Wallis who is now about 16 y.rs of age 4
feet 9½ inches high has the middle finger of
the her right hand a little deformed & has one
scar on the right eye brow) is the identical
person man.d & set free by the s.d Willson this day
                             In Testimony &.c this 19.th
