Talbot County to wit
 I hereby certify all persons whom it
doth or may concern that Levin T Speddin
of Talbot County came and proved to my satisfaction that the
bearer hereof Negro Phillis of a dark Brown Complexion five feet
3½ inches high about twenty years of age Is the Identical
person manumitted by John Kinsey in the year 1790            K
to be free on the first day of November 1808  In Testimony
                               &.c May 16 1809

Valiant of the County & State
             afs.d Came & proved to my satisfaction that the
             bearer hereof a Black man who calls himself
             Jethro Rideout & who is now about 40 yrs of age 5 feet
             3¾ in high a mole on the Left part of his forehead
             a scar on his upper Lip a scar on his left eye
             brow a scar in the center of his forehead a hint
             in his right eye & dark complection is the
             identical person named in a manumission
             bearing Date the 11.th day of April Anno Dom 1807
             to be free from the date thereof which s.d manumission
             was made by Eliz.th & Sarah Rigby of the
             County afs.d & recorded among the Land records of Talbot
             County afs.d where the said Jethro Ridout was raised
                                     In Testimony &.c this 2.d day of April
