State of Maryland Talbot County to wit
                      I hereby Certify that M.r Thomas Weyman of
the County & State afsd came & proved to my satisfaction
that the bearer hereof a mulatto man who calls
himself Stephen Conner who is now about 28 years of
age 5 feet 8½ in high has a small scar across the
first joint of his left thumb has one other small scar
on the top of his Right hand is the identical person
set free by him the said Thomas Weyman
by manumission bearing date with this certificate
which was duly attested acknowledged & Enrolled among
the land records of the Cty afs.d
                   In Testimony whereof I have
                   hereto set my hand & affixed
(Seal)          the seal of my office this 30.th
                   day of July 1812

 I do hereby certify all persons whom
it doth or may concern that M.r
Hopkins Smith of the County and
State afs.d came and proved to my satisfaction that the
bearer hereof (a black ^Negro^ woman who calls herself Mable
Baley who is now about Thirty Six years of age Five feet
one ¾ inches high has the greatest part of her upper
teenth rotten her complection that of a dark mullatto
is the identical negro Woman set free by the said Hopkins
Smith on the 21st day of October Eighteen hundred &
twelve by manumission bearing date the said Twenty
first day of October 1812 which said manumission was
duly and legally attested acknowledged & enrolled in Liber
J. L. N.o G one of the land record books for the county
afs.d                 In Testimony &c this 22.d day of October
