my satisfaction that the bearer hereof Negro Eve of a Dark brown complecion 4 ft 10 in high about 30 years of age has a notable scar on her forehead and over her left Eye occasioned by a burn and also has a scar on her Right hand is the Identical person set free by his Father Henry Banning on the 19.th day of July 1788 to be free on the first day of January 1796 In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed the public seal of my office this 3.d day of June 1809 JLoockerman Cl State of Maryland Talbot County to wit: I hereby certify that Memory Willson of the County & State afsd came & proved to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof a very Black woman who calls herself Lydia Bryan & who is now about 42 yrs of age 4 feet 10 in high two fingers on her left hand ^that^ must [illegible] by a burn is the identical person set free by James Walker by manumission dated the 23 ap.l 1810 & duly acknowledged & recorded among the land records of the county afs.d where the said Lydia Bryan was raised In Testimony &c this 25 may 1811 JLoockerman |
