Talbot County to wit I hereby certify all persons whom it doth
or may concern that Samuel B Darden of Talbot County in
the State of Maryland & in the Lawes of Easton came & proved
to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof Negro Nancy
of a dark brown complexion five feet four Inches
high has a remarkeable scar on her left cheek not
far from her left Eye and also has a scar on her right
wrist is the Identical person manumitted by Joseph
Darden on the 8 day of December 1790 to be free
when the arrives to age of twenty one years which was in the
year 1802  In Testimony &c  Nov 24 1806


    State of Maryland Talbot County To wit  I hereby
certify to all whom it doth or may concern that M.rs
Nancy Faulkner wife of James Faulkner of the County
& State afs.d came & proved to my satisfaction that the
bearer hereof a black man who calls himself David
& who is about five feet six inches high and one eighth
of an inch high twenty seven years of age marked
with one pock on the forehead in a straight direction
over his right eye & well inside is the identical person
named in a manumission from John Reazey to sundry
negroes which is duly enrolled among the Land records
of Talbot County afs.d & that the said David was
raised in the said County & state      In Testimony &a
this 20.th of Dc.r 1809
