State of Maryland   Talbot County to wit
                      I hereby Certify that Mr Wm Dunn
of the County and state afs.d came & proved to my
my satisfaction that the bearer hereof a
mulatto man named Roman alias Roman
Coursey who is now about 45 y.rs of age
5 ft 4 in high has no notable marks or
scars except a small scar a little above &
near his left eye brow) is the identical
negro man manumitted & set free by the
said W.m Dunn on the 30.th of Dec.r 1813
              In Testimony &.c this 25.th of April

Maryland Talbot County to wit:
             I hereby Certify that Robert Spedden
Esq came and proved to my satisfaction that
the bearer hereof (a Black man named
Oliver who is now about 52 years of age
5 feet 5¾ inches high has a scar or lump
on the left side of his neck occasioned by a
Bile also a speck in his right eye by which
the sight is nearly extinguished occasioned
(as he Says) by a wheat beard) is the
identical person mant.d & set free by
a certain H T Delahay of the Coty afs.d
on the 10.th day of Dec 1802
