a black woman about thirty eight years of age five feet 2 & an half Inches high with a scar below the right corner of her mouth was raised in Caroline County is the Identical Negro Woman manumitted by Thomas keets on the thirteenth day of January seventeen hundred & fourty eight In Witness &c 16 Oct.r 1806 Talbot County to wit I hereby certify all persons whom it doth or may concern that James Cockayne of the County afs.d came and proved to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof Richard Williams was born free & that his mother was manumitted by the Father of the afs.d James Cockayne was thirty six years of age on the 5.th of October last five feet five inches & one half ^of an^ Inch high with a scar on the upper part of his Breast was raised in Caroline County & is black In Testimony & Novr 24 1806 J Loockerman Clk |
