State of Maryland
Talbot County to wit
 I hereby Certify all person's whom
it doth or may Concern that Thomas
Miller of the City of New York Came and proved to my
Satisfaction that the Bearer hereof Negro Esther a very
bright Mullatto Five feet Seven inches high has no
             scars of marks Except a very small scar
on her right Thumb about Forty three years of age
is the Identical Person manumated by Francis Kinsey
on the Thirtieth day of October Eighteen Hundred
and Eight and was raised in Talbot County afs.d
                                                In Testamony &c


The State of Maryland Talbot County to Wit  I hereby certify to
all whom it doth or may Concern that Miss Patience Handy of
the County & State afs.d came & proved to my Satisfaction that the
bearer hereof a dark Mulatto Negro Man named Peter (alias
Peter Johnson) aged now about fifty Nine or Sixty years of age
Five feet five inches high rather a Wide Mouth & teeth mostly
gone before is the identical Negro Man set free by Doct.r Moses
Allen in the year 1795 and said Negro Man Peter formerly
belonged to a M.r Hindman of the county & State afs.d   in Testimony
                                  &.c  &.c March 8.th 1809
