State of Maryland Talbot County to wit:
                I hereby certify to all whom it doth or may
concern That Adam Edgar of the County and State af.d
came and proved to my satisfaction that the
bearer hereof a black man who calls himself
nearo Jones about 21 years of age 5 feet 5½ inches high
with a scar over his right eye brow was born free and
that he was raised in the County & state af.d  In
       (seal)               Testimony &.ca this 11th day of
September Anno Dom 1809


    State of Maryland
    Talbot County to wit:
I hereby Certify that Abednigo Botfield
of the County County and State aforesaid came & proved
to my satisfaction that the Bearer hereof a Black woman
named Sarah alias Sarah Graves who is now about Fifty
three years of age Five feet Two Inches & three quarters of
an inch high has no remarkable scars is the Identical
person named in a manumission from him the
said Abednigo Botfield bearing date on the twentieth
day of March in the year 1792 and which was duly acknowledged
and enrolled among the Land Records of Talbot
County afores.d where the afs.d Sarah was raised
                            In Testimony whereof &.c this 9 Nov 1811
