State of Maryland
Talbot County to wit
 I hereby certify that John Kemp
of the County afsd came and proved to my
satisfaction that the bearer hereof a black man named
Jacob who is now about 21 yrs of age 5 feet 10¾ inches high
has a small scar directly over his right eye is the identical
person set free by Lydia Kemp by manumission
bearing date the 6.th day of December 1799 and duly
attested acknowledged & enrolled among the land records
of the county afsd when the said Negro Jacob was
raised
                      In Testimony &.c this 21.st day  
                      of July 1812

     Talbot County to wit
 I hereby Certify that M.r Michael
Bootman of the County and State afsd
    came and made oath on the proved to my satisfaction that the
    bearer hereof a mullatto man named James alias James Ridout
    about 21 y.rs of age 5 ft 6 in & ¼.s of an inch high has no notable  
    marks was born free and raised in the County afsd
                      In Testimony &.c this 12 Feby 1814

 I hereby Certify all persons
whom it doth or may Concern
that Samuel Garey came &
    proved to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof a
    bright mullatto Woman by the name of Kate or
    Catharine 5 feet 2½ inches high was born & raised
    in the County with a large scar on the
    back of her neck including the right
    shoulder & another small scar over her left
    eyebrow is the same person set free by his
    father Ob.a Garey before his Death
                In Testimony &.c  this 16.th April 1814
