Talbot County to wit
I hereby Certify that Levin T Spedden
of the County & State af.d came and proved to my satisfaction
that the bearer hereof a black man who calls himself
Sam.l Demby and who 5 feet 4½ in high a small scar
under his right eye   lost two of his foreteeth from his under
Jaw   and now between 44 & 45 years of age is that Identical
person named in a manumission from Robert
Spedden to him the s.d Sam.l Demby and that he
was raised in the county and state af.d
                                              In Testimony &c
                                              this 5 of Oct 1809

Talbot County to wit:
                                  I hereby Certify all persons whom it
Doth or may concern that Francis Neall of Talbot
County came and proved to my satisfaction that the
Bearer hereof negro Thomas five feet Eight inches
high with a small part of his right fourth finger
of some of his under fore teeth out is the identical
negro manumitted by Isaac Cox in the year Seventeen
hundred and seventy five
                   In Witness whereof I hereto set my
           hand and affixed the seal of my office this
          11.th January 1810
