State of Maryland Talbot County Sc
                         I hereby Certify that M.rs Mary Trippe of the County
and State afs.d came and proved To my satisfaction that the
bearer hereof (a Black woman who calls herself Anne Mitchel
who is now about sixteen years of age 5 feet 3¾ inches high has
no remarkable Scars) was born free and raised in the
County afs.d
                            In Testimony &.c this 1.st day of Sep.t 1812

             I hereby certify that John Stevens of
Thomas of the County and State afs.d came &
proved to my satisfaction that the bearer
hereof negro a mullatto woman named
Esther who is now about 25 Years of
age 5 f.t 1½ in high has no notable marks
or scars) is the identical person manumitted
& set free by M.r Tho Stevens of the County &
State afs.d on the 18.th day of March 1815
