Maryland Talbot County to wit
                  I hereby Certify that m.r
W.m Dickinson of the County and State
afs.d came and proved to my satisfaction
that the bearer hereof (a black
man named Perry who is now
about 40 years of age 5 feet 11 inches
high has a small scar on his forehead
& near the edge of his hair) is the identical
negro man mannt.d & set
freed by Miss Eliz.h Dickinson on the
15th day of Oct 1814 which manumission
was duly executed & recorded
 in this County & state afs.d where the
said negro Perry was raised
                   In Testimony &.a this

 I hereby Certify that Mrs
Sarah Burgess of the County
and State aforesaid came & proved to my satisfaction
that the bearer hereof (a light Black man who
calls himself Toby Madden and who is now
about 28 years of age 5 feet 6½ Inches high has
no notable marks or scars was born free and
raised in the County & State afs.d
