10 State of Maryland Talbot County To wit I hereby certify that Sam.l Troth of the same County & state came and proved to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof a mulatto woman who calls herself Hannah Brooks and who is now about twenty years of age five feet inches and a quarter high without any remarkable scars was born free and that she was raised in the County & state afd In Testimony & this 14th of Dec 1810 J Loockerman State of Maryland Talbot County To wit: I hereby certify that Samuel Troth of the County & State aforesaid came and proved to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof a black man who calls himself Robert Brooks and who is now about forty years of age five feet seven inches high five fingers and a thumb on each hand and dark complexion is the identical person named in a manumission made by a certain Isaac Bowdle of the County afd of the twelfth day of March eighteen hundred and ten to be free from the date hereof which said man is duly executed and recorded among the Land Records of the County afd where the said Robert Brooks was raised In Testimony & this 16.th of Ap 1811 J Loockerman State of Maryland Talbot County to wit I hereby certify that Miss Patience Hardy of the said County & state came and proved to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof a mulatto woman who calls herself Alice and who is now about thirty seven years of age five feet two inches and a quarter of an inch high hard of hearing and without any particular scars or mark is the identical person named in a manu made by the said Miss Patience Hardy on the twenty ninth day of March Eighteen hundred & three to be free from the date thereof which said manum was duly acknowledged & recorded among the Land record Books of Talbot County afd where the said Alice was raised In Testimony &.a this 11th of May 1811 J Loockerman Cl |
